Andrew Pannifer is the Head of Medicinal Technologies at the European Lead Factory. He co-leads the development of the “Honest Data Broker” HTS triage system and is responsible for computational chemistry and crystal structure solution for the group. He completed his degree and D.Phil (Biochemistry and Crystallography) at the University of Oxford before moving to the pharmaceutical industry (AstraZeneca and Pfizer) for 10 years, developing expertise in structure-based drug design, modelling and computational chemistry. After moving to academic drug discovery, he started up computational chemistry at the European Lead Factory group, carrying out cheminformatic analysis on the compound library and screening results and also supporting projects with 3D modelling and crystal structure solution.
